Dear Parents,
PRAYERS
Please remember in your
thoughts and prayers the O’Connor, Coyne and Spellman families on the loss this
week of a beloved brother/son. The funeral of Kevin will take place at 12
o’clock on Tuesday 3rd July at Tilehurst,
Reading. We offer our heartfelt
sympathies and send special love at this most sad and difficult time for
them.
VOLUNTARY PARENTS MEETINGS
This is on Tuesday 3rd
July from 3pm to 6pm. It is for any
parent who wishes to discuss their child’s progress or report. Please contact your child’s class teacher if
you wish to make an appointment. Miss
O’Connor and Mrs Coyne’s classes will be scheduled for a later date, which we
will notify you of shortly.
UNIFORM
As we have limited storage
space and if you have recently ordered uniform, please collect from Reception
at the earliest opportunity. If you
would like to order for September, please do so as soon as possible while we
still have stock available. Thank you.
INSTRUMENTAL TUITION
If your child is in Year 4
or above and is interested in either flute or clarinet, private lessons take
place weekly during school time and instruments are available. For further details, please collect a letter
from Reception. Unfortunately we are taking no further applications for
violin. Thank you. Mrs McNeillie.
REPORTS
Your child’s report is being
sent out today. We hope you are pleased
with the comprehensive nature. I am sure
you would join me in thanking your child’s teachers for their hard work in
compiling these reports.
FRIDAY 6TH JULY
We have been informed that
the funeral of one of our neighbours will take place next Friday. The funeral cars will leave from the slip
road at 12.45pm and in order to respect the family and maintain good relations
with our neighbours, we would ask that you keep the road completely clear. Thank you.
SPORTS DAYS – DATES FOR YOUR
DIARY
Year 5 & 6 sports day will
take place on Friday 6th July between 1.30pm – 3.30pm. If the weather is unsuitable the 13th
July has been set as an alternative date. Year 3 & 4 sports day is
Wednesday 11th July between 1.30pm – 3.30pm with Thursday 12th
July being the alternative date in case of inclement weather.
Early Years sports day is
Tuesday 10th July between 1.30pm – 3pm. Unfortunately
due to a very busy end of term if the weather is unsuitable, no alternative
date can be arranged. Please make sure
your children have their PE kit in school on these days. Thank you.
