OUR CHRISTMAS GIFT FAIR – SATURDAY 2ND DECEMBER

Just a reminder to all you supportive parents that Mrs Fry’s super successful fantastic marvellous fair is nearly upon us but we still need your donations of DVDs, CDs, books, complete games for our Year 6 stalls.  Please please please donate and support this fundraising event!  Any enquiries for stall holders telephone 01753 823975.

SANTA’S GROTTO

We are trying to arrange the Santa’s Grotto for the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 2nd December but we need your help.    There are lots of things that need doing both before and on the actual day.  If you can help with any of the above, please call Michelle Donnelly on 01753 580686 or catch me outside the nursery/reception area after school.

PARENTS EVENING

Thank you for attending our Parents Evenings this week; I trust the information you received was useful and encouraging. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for their dedication and hard work in preparing for these evenings and in supporting our children to achieve the very best they can.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

Just a reminder to parents of children making their First Holy Communion, there will be a Parents meeting for you all on Thursday 23rd in St Josephs Room at 7.30pm.  We look forward to seeing you there.

HOLY FAMILY CD

This is it, the final chance to purchase the CD produced earlier in the year by our choir singing some of their favourite songs.  As Christmas is coming, this will make a lovely gift or stocking filler and if you are interested in ordering a copy, please complete and return the order form below by November 24th at the latest.  Thank you.  Barbara McNeillie.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

After a slow start this year, we are delighted to inform you that over 200 shoeboxes were collected yesterday!  Mrs Finnigan and her team tell me that the boxes were beautifully filled with lovely gifts.  Our thanks to Jane and her helpers for their organisation again this year, and of course to all of you for your generous support.

SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS

In order to ensure your photographs arrive before we break for Christmas, would you please make sure that all orders are returned to school by the 23rd November at the very latest.   Thank you.     Mrs Da Silva

MONSTER TIMES TABLES CHALLENGE

We are delighted to announce that your child has the opportunity to show how well they know their times tables in our monster challenge.  We are offering children from Years 4, 5 & 6 the chance to take part in a lunch time event which will take place Friday 24th November in the school hall.  It is not compulsory but we would encourage as many children as possible to participate as our aim is to improve knowledge of our times tables.  There will be prizes for each year group but our primary aim is for children to take part and enjoy themselves.  Mr Cockerell & Mr Bolger.

And finally, thank you for all the donations of trousers etc sent into nursery this week.  Mrs English is very grateful.

Best Wishes

Anne O’Connor
